Social Activities

A Network of Friends and FUN

We enjoy the friendship and camaraderie on-the-water and off with fellow members who are skilled in boating. We have many opportunities for safe boating fun with scheduled day, weekend, and longer trips throughout the year. Going as a group affords us “safety in numbers” while, at the same time, allows us to enjoy the company of fellow boaters. Other activities include monthly Cruise & Rendezvous which are held at on-the-water locations, raft-ups, and navigation contests. Check out all that is planned on the Boating page.

We have weekly luncheons at Marina Jack Restaurant on Thursdays with the exception of major holidays and the 2nd Thursday of each month - business meetings are held those evenings at Red Lobster Restaurant following dinner. The luncheons offer a choice of hot meal, sandwiches, or fruit plate and always include a guest speaker. Several parties/dinners are scheduled throughout the year at various locations and we traditionally have a picnic on City Island in the summer. Check out our Social Calendar for more information!

USPS Port Captains assist visiting members with local knowledge about route planning, water conditions, anchorages, marinas and other helpful information.

We have a busy and FUN social life at SPS!
